Fantastic opportunity for a Chartered or Certified Accountant to join our Firm of Accountants & Business Advisors.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified at either ACA/ACCA and have at least 5 years post qualification experience in practice. The job will entail mainly the following but due to being a small firm other roles will have to be done to:

​

• Preparing annual and statutory accounts

• Providing Management Accounts and
  regular reporting

• Managing payroll and bookkeeping

• Taking care of VAT returns and PAYE liabilities

• Support should HMRC have any queries about
  client affairs

• Completing personal and company tax returns

• Advising on capital gains, inheritance tax and other relevant areas

• For the right candidate, responsibility of a portfolio
  of clients

• Training of junior members of staff

 

The key responsibilities of the role are to prepare annual accounts to a very high level for review by partners and to draft personal and corporation tax returns. Some more junior level of work might need to be done from time to time to cover holiday and sickness etc.

 

For the right candidate there is a possibility to have their own portfolio of clients to look after in their entirety this will be based on experience and will be reflected in their salary.

 

Experience, attributes
& skills sought:

​

• Chartered Accountant with experience in ‘Practice’ & FCA FCCA Qualified

• Excellent attention to detail

• Familiarity with prominent software packages

• Experience of improving accounting processes

• Proactive, takes initiative, a good team player

 

 

Salary and package:

​

• Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience (Bringing fees with them will be taken into consideration in higher salary)

• 5 weeks holiday after 3 years

• Working from home 2 days a week (after trial period)

• Pension
